A Photo Contest...

I am going a little out of my comfort zone..it's a portrait contest. Not that I don't LOVE my people...because you know I do..but well...I accepted long ago that people weren't my best subjects. Not only that...but it's a contest (you know...with judges, and prizes, and rejection...). Double Whammy.
So..after a scoach of thought and consideration...a pinch of doubt...and a big heaping helping of 'what the Hell?'....here are my entries.

What I did this weekend...

Let's see. I drove to Tennessee. I saw some stuff. I took pictures of said stuff. I hugged my delicious family. I came home. All in a days work!

And then I blogged about it! I hope you enjoyed the glimpse into my utterly boring life. Major schedule announcement...I am making a substantial photographic journey this weekend. Looking forward to sharing the results with all of you. Stay tuned!

On Track...

I have recently discovered that I adore trains. More specifically I adore the art, the beauty, the creative simplicity and vintage charm of the rails. I find myself longing for the days of rail travel...the click clack of the wheels, the country passing by just outside your window, the freedom confined within those stately cars. I yearn to hear the whistle and experience a different way of life. And I would love to find a great set of tracks and start walking...who knows what adventures I would discover! It seems as if this fascination has already started creeping in to my photographs...

All Aboard! This is just the beginning of my obsession. I look forward to sharing the road..or should I say track...with all of you. Happy Travels!

A day in the life...

I recently took a whirlwind trip south (literally I was gone overnight)...and I just have a few pictures that I wanted to share with you here. Charleston is lovely and wonderful....and I WILL be venturing down there again soon for a major photo session. I promise. In the meantime...
