Hi Friends, Family, and Fans!! (I assume if you are here you fall into one of the previous categories!) If you DON'T..well...let's work on that this summer!
A little background on me...your humble photographer. I take pictures. I enjoy it. Some say I'm relatively good at it. While I don't necessarily do it to make millions, it is nonetheless my profession. (One I'd like to retire comfortably from!) Therefore I believe that it is important to establish some ground rules. What I like to call the Rules of Etiquette....because playing nice is important...
I love and adore Facebook. And Twitter. And maybe even the occasional MySpace (OK maybe not that last one..but to each their own!). I use them. I post my photography there. Check me out! And while you are there...if you fall in love (or even just sorta-kinda like) with a particular photograph (or two..or even three...) GREAT!! Want to use the image? FABULOUS!! See that delicately placed copyright in the lower right hand corner?? Let's just keep that there OK? My copyright will never interfere with artistic expression, distract your eye, or otherwise intrude upon your brain. So NO cropping on your part!
I edit my photography. This is, of course, based on personal preference. Mine. Not that I don't appreciate your opinion or respect your ideas. I do. So I am a tad partial to Black and Whites. And weird cropping. And artsy fartsy. But if you aren't really into that sort of thing..it's OK...just don't edit or alter the image in any way..on your own. You want a Black and White turned into color? Want a hint of pink? Want to look thinner? I CAN DO THAT! Just get in touch with me..I'm chill, laid back, and uber easy to talk to!
So...they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I'm flattered already! Now stop stealing my stuff! NOT COOL!! There is something called 'intellectual property'...look that up. I work really hard to provide my clients (and friends) with creative, unique, interesting, ONE OF A KIND photography. I'm all for research...I do it. But you got to spin a great idea into your own astonishing individuality. Because otherwise your clients become MY clients! So if you are jonesing for a pose, an idea, or a kick in the right direction...don't just "borrow"...get written consent. Or verbal acknowledgement. Or throw me a shout out link back credit! Bottom line...Eos is awesome. You are awesome too-but be YOUR OWN awesome!
SO...I'm asking really really really nice. Please don't make me go all ninja legal serious on you! Let's just all be courteous professionals..mmmkay?
Thanksie!
Peace and Love!
P.S. I have SO many pictures to share with you!! Look for a post tomorrow...xoxo.
